Good Afternoon, Parents and Guardians!
We are excited to welcome everyone back for another great school year in the Helena-West Helena School District!
To help ensure a smooth and successful first day of school, our Transportation Department will conduct a Bus Route Dry Run on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. This practice run allows us to verify routes, stop locations, and approximate pick-up times before students return to school.
Please review the posted BUS ROUTES and approximate pick-up times. While we anticipate buses will operate very close to last year's schedule, some adjustments may be necessary as we finalize student assignments and route efficiency.
Please keep the following in mind:
- This is a practice run to verify routes and timing.
- Students do not need to ride the bus during the dry run.
- If your child will ride the bus during the school year, we encourage families to be at the designated bus stop 5–10 minutes before the estimated pick-up time during the dry run to confirm the location and timing.
- Pick-up times are approximate and may change slightly after the dry run as we make final adjustments.
If:
- You do not see a bus arrive at your child's expected stop
- You are unsure of your child's bus stop or pick-up time
- You have any other transportation questions or concerns,
